Ismat, faced unimaginable tragedy when her husband passed away suddenly due to high blood pressure on October 13, 2022. This loss turned their happy life into a struggle for survival. Ismat herself is battling with various health issues, found herself shouldering the responsibility of caring for their children alone. With a meager income of Rs. 2000 from their daughter’s job as a sweeper at a private institute, they faced immense challenges. Their living conditions were worst, residing in a tin shed lacking all basic needs which was vulnerable and not suitable to live in especially during the harsh winters. The extreme low temperatures would often leave the children in a distressed state, and the family would spend sleepless nights weeping together. The tragedy of her husband’s passing had left a gaping void in their lives, and the lack of support from their loved ones made their circumstances even more crucial. After getting information from a local volunteer Orphans in Need Team visited the family and where stuck to see the situations of the family, immediately come into the action
After:
The construction of our new home has become a new ray of hope for the faimly. We’ve now shifted from an unsafe tin shed to a safe and secure space our “Dream Home.” Orphans in Need have given us more than just a roof. Orphans in Need has made our life beautiful and returned back smiles from our faces. Their kindness has turned our struggles into strengths. The sorrows and hardships we have experienced till now have now gone permanently. Our mornings now rise with new hopes. This is not just a residential house for us this is our life. The family now lives in their new home that protects them from extreme temperatures and harsh weather conditions. The children’s health and mood have improved significantly, and they no longer suffer from seasonal distress. Ismat’s mental health has also improved, and she feels a sense of security in her new home. The family’s social life has improved, and they are no longer isolated. Relatives and neighbors have started visiting them, and they feel more connected to their community.
